FEIJOA WIKI TU

Wiki Tu the largest fruit. Bees do little to pollinate these plants but Blackbirds & White or Wax Eyes eat the stamens in the process getting pollen on their faces & foreheads so depositing some of that pollen from flower to flower. Most feijoas need pollinators so consider how far does a bird fly within its territory when considering if enough neighbours have feijoas to aid in yr pollination?

Feijoa ripening season covers 2 months, early being second week of April like Unique, late being early June like 12cm fruited Wiki Tu. However flowering appears to be same time for all varieties. Can grow to 3-4m so allow 4m between unless using for hedging where u can plant 1m-1.5m apart.
