CAMELLIA RETICULATA SIR CLIFFORD PARKS TUI FOOD

Retics are a faster growing larger flowered & leafed more open form & can become small trees over 30-40 yrs. I try to keep a range in stock having been alerted that Tuis like to feed in the winter flowers – partic the single bloomed types like Sir Cliff with the big bunches of stamens in the centre of the large 20cm single flowers. Apparently both nectar & pollen available for bees n birds……

Few are planting camellias for Tuis but we have a customer living in an old homestead at Kawhia who tells us the 50 yr old camellias are full of Tuis thru winter……

Sir Cliff has huge orangey red single flowers that wud indeed do the business for the birds. 40cm tall plants & $20 ea. Not easy to source ev season but we have them at present……
